What this shows. Our rating ranks every runner in every race; this tracks how the rank-1 pick fared, settled on official finishing positions. It's a measure of raw accuracy, not a betting system โ€” backing every top pick isn't profitable (favourites are short). Our proven edge is the selective Nap. Non-runners are excluded. 18+ ยท Please gamble responsibly.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the Nap and your top picks?

The top picks are my number-one rated horse in every single race. The Nap is just one of them each day โ€” the single clearest standout, taken at a value price. Backing every top pick isn't profitable; the selective Nap is where the edge lives.

Why isn't backing every top pick profitable?

Because many top-rated horses are short-priced favourites, and favourites as a group don't return a profit at Starting Price even though they win often. The edge comes from being selective about price, which is exactly what the Nap does.

What is a good strike rate for horse racing tips?

Backing favourites and top-rated picks, a win strike rate around 30โ€“35% is normal. On its own that number means little without the odds โ€” a high strike rate at short prices can still lose money โ€” which is why I always show price and ROI alongside it.

How are strike rate and place rate calculated here?

Strike rate is winners divided by the number of picks that got a finishing position (non-runners are excluded). Place rate counts picks that finished within the each-way places for the size of the field.

How many races does this cover?

Every UK and Irish race on the day's cards โ€” often 30 to 60 a day โ€” each with a single top-rated pick, tracked over a rolling 10-day window.
